Jun 26, 2008 (www.AllPayNews.com) -- American Express International, a payments and travel company, and Cathay Pacific Airways have announced the formation of a strategic partnership to launch the premium co-branded American Express Cathay Pacific Elite and the American Express Cathay Pacific credit cards in Asia-Pacific.

The American Express Cathay Pacific Elite and the American Express Cathay Pacific credit cards are tailor-made for travelers, Marco Polo Club and Asia Miles members.

The co-branded credit cards offer them a faster way to earn flight awards and a wide array of lifestyle awards with all spending on the card automatically transferred into Asia Miles while receiving an array of exclusive privileges and services.

Yat-chung Koh, senior vice president and general manager of American Express for Greater China and Southeast Asia, said: "American Express Hong Kong starts a new chapter today by becoming the Hong Kong co-brand card partner of Cathay Pacific.
